Hopkins Names Doug Guenther to Vice President of Product Design & Regulatory Affairs
EMPORIA, KS – Hopkins Manufacturing Corporation announces the addition of Doug Guenther to Vice President of Product Design & Regulatory Affairs. Doug will have responsibility for all product design and product related regulatory compliance, for those directly with Hopkins engineering staff and those facilitated by suppliers or third parties. Doug will support Hopkins growth strategy by ensuring innovative, quality and cost-effective product designs; in addition, he will be responsible for our patent portfolio and patent strategy.
Doug brings to Hopkins an excellent background in consumer product design, with an extensive background in sporting goods. Most recently, Doug was the Senior Director, Innovation and Product Development for Rawlings Sporting Goods, where he led the research and development strategy and new product innovations in team sports. Before Rawlings, Doug was the Vice President, R&D and Quality for Winter Sports Equipment with Amer Sports, and Vice President, R&D for Amer’s Wilson Sporting Goods subsidiary. Earlier in his career, Doug held engineering positions at McDonnell Douglas Corporation, Bally-Life Fitness and General Motors.
